Hundreds of clients over the years,
we've discovered that the biggest difference between the winners and the losers
in the weight-loss and maintenance wars isn't whether or not people have falls
and go off their system. It's not really a question of if they have them; it's
a question of when. What really makes the difference is how you cope with the
falls when they happen. Here's an example. You've been absolutely wonderful on
your diet prepare for, say, 3 several weeks. You've been sticking to your
system and feeling pretty terrific. You go to a wedding and have a cup of vine.
Before you know it, someone is insisting you try those delicious little

the cake" you've managed to down about
4,000 unwanted calories from stuff you
wouldn't have been caught dead looking at during the past few several weeks or
months... Desserts, breads, alcohol, you name it. A lot of people think that's
where the action stops. Actually, it's where the real action begins. First, a
reality checks. Have you done a lot of damage? Not really. Maybe you put on one
lb or two. So what? You can knock it off before you know it, and go right
returning to "work" on yourself. So what's the problem? The issue
isn't what you did, but what you ensure it is mean. You tell yourself that you’re
"going off" indicates that you have no will power that you will never
